Toner Save
When you select On, the printer saves toner by substituting a gray shade for the black inside of characters. The characters are outlined in full black on the right and lower edges. Note: You can also make Toner Save settings directly from OneTouch Mode 2.
Density
You can adjust the print density to make your printout lighter (1) or darker (5). Note: Increasing the print density increases toner consumption. If you select darker print, you may need to replace the imaging cartridge more often.
Top Offset
Make fine adjustments to the vertical position of the printing on the page.

Left Offset
Caution: Be sure that the printed image does not extend beyond the edge of paper. Otherwise, you may damage the printer.
Makes fine adjustments to the horizontal position of the printing on the page. This is useful for fine adjustment when you are using the manual feed mode.

SelecType Settings
T Offset B
Adjusts the vertical printing position on the back side of the paper when printing on both sides. Use this if the printout on the back side is not where you expected. This item is available only when the Duplex Unit is installed.
L Offset B
Adjusts the horizontal printing position on the back side of the paper when printing on both sides. Use this if the printout on the back side is not where you expected. Make sure the On Line light is not blinking when you reboot the printer.
Page Count
Displays the total number of sheets printed by this printer.
SelecType Init.
Erases all the SelecType settings you have changed, and resets them to the factory default settings.
Parallel Menu
These settings control communication between the printer and the computer when using a parallel interface.

Speed
Specifies the pulse width of the ACKNLG signal when receiving data in the Compatibility mode or Nibble mode. When this option is set to Fast, the pulse width is about 1 ms. When this option is set to Normal, the pulse width is about 10 ms.
Bi-D
Allows you to specify the bidirectional communication mode. When you select Off, bidirectional communication is disabled.

Buffer Size
Determines the amount of memory to be used for receiving data and printing data. If set to Maximum, more memory is allocated for receiving data. If set to Minimum, more memory is allocated for printing data.
Serial Menu
These settings control communication between the printer and the computer when using a serial interface.

Baud Rate
Use this option to set the data transfer rate (baud) for the serial interface. The baud rate is measured in bits per second (bps). See your computer manual and software documentation for the proper setting.

Parity
When this option is set to None, parity checking is disabled. The parity bit, if used, provides a basic form of error detection. See your computer manual and software documentation for the proper setting.
Stop Bit
Use this option to set the number of stop bits for each character of information sent to the printer. [. . . ] When OCR-B is used: 36 pt or more (Up to 96 pt in Windows NT) Recommended sizes are 36 pt, 72 pt, 108 pt and 144 pt.
